Melamine-formaldehyde resins
| Application: Melamine-formaldehyde resins are used in the process of manufacturing FB, waterproof plywood, ÌDF, OSB, LVL.
Melamine-formaldehyde resins is a product of polycondensation of melamine in formaldehyde solution.
Melamine contains in its molecule 3 amino groups capable to react with formaldehyde. Hydroxymethylation by substitution of one atom in amino group goes quickly. Formation of mono-, di- and trimethyl derivates runs in alkaline condition. Further condensation is conducted by temperature 80-90°Ñ and ðÍ 7,5:9. Hydroxymethyl groups interact forming dimethylenether bonds -ÑÍ2-Î-ÑÍ2– or methylen bonds -ÑÍ2-.
Resin quality enhancement is reached by adding modifiers to the batch mixture.
Melamine resin manufacturing shops
“Safe technologies Inc” provides “know how” in the field of melamine-formaldehyde and melamine-urea-formaldehyde resin synthesis for FB, waterproof plywood, ÌDF, OSB, LVL from methanol free formaldehyde solution.
Methanol free concentrated formaldehyde solution process allows conducting synthesis of melamine-formaldehyde as well as phenol-formaldehyde resins on the same equipment in a single shop, for the fullest range of wood based panel fabrication.
We organize manufacturing of the following kinds of resin:
- Melamine-urea-formaldehyde resin for MDF boards, emission class Å-1 è Å-0
- Melamine-formaldehyde for laminating MDF and chipboards
Since this “know how” is unique in Russia, detailed information is available on request only. |
